Added Spice To Sharks And Hawks Contest

The Belt Up Round continues on Sunday, with Dunsborough hosting Augusta Margaret River in round five of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL season.

The Hawks won both contests last season in the Sharks inaugural year, but this year, two time premiership player and two time Hayward Medalist, Simon Moore will be playing for the Sharks after moving from Augusta Margaret River in the off-season, giving the match a little more spice.

The Sharks were soundly beaten last weekend by Donnybrook, but the club was missing as many as 18 players across the board, with coach Daniel Wiseman confirming that the majority of them are back, including Simon Moore for Sunday’s contest.  “It is good to be able to have a look at some of the younger blokes, and give them a taste of what the League level is like, but it will be good to get some players back, which in-turn will bolster our Colts and Reserves”, said Wiseman on SEN Radio.

Jake Green has been a key player for the Sharks this season.

Likewise, the Hawks will welcome back inspirational captain, Linc Adams, who missed a week after a heavy collision in round two against South Bunbury, but last weeks bye has helped him recover in time for the crucial clash.

The Sharks dropped to 10th on the ladder after last weeks big loss, while the Hawks are sixth, also with one win.  The winner will go into potentially fifth place such is the nature of the ladder after round five, while the loser will find themselves in the bottom four.

The League match commences at 2.10pm, with Belt Up Round proudly supported by our Community Partner, Alcoa.
