Eaton are looking forward to the 2026 Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League premiership season, with an air of excitement and expectation around the club in the lead up to round one.
It has been five years since the Boomers have played finals, and in that time the club have suffered two wooden spoons and a tenth placed finish in 2025.
The club have recruited well over the off-season and have picked up the highest profile recruit in the whole competition, with Marlion Pickett joining the Boomers in 2026. Pickett, who played 91 games in the AFL, the last in 2024 will add plenty of experience to the Boomers side.

Coach Scott Tynan is bouyant about the sides off season – and the season ahead. “Pre Season 2026 has delivered amazing numbers that we haven’t had for a while. There is a great feeling of excitement and belief within the whole playing group, and I am looking forward to seeing that carry on to the field for the season ahead”, he said.
Tynan suggests the Tigers, Magpies and Bulldogs will again to be the teams to beat in 2026. “I don’t think you can go past Souths and Busso as the teams to beat again this year and I reckon Bunbury will be right up there. I think Dunsborough will be the big improvers this year, their young guys will have another season under there belt and they have been able to bring in some good experience and class this off season”, he added.
The Boomers start their 2026 campaign at Glen Huon Reserve on Saturday, 21 March 2026 with a crucial first up clash against Augusta Margaret River. Eaton have the bye in round two, and after the Easter break will again play at home against Harvey Brunswick Leschenault in round three, before heading to Dunsborough in round four for their first away match of the season.
