All Eyes On Glen Huon This Sunday

The SWFL Elimination Final maybe another two weeks away, but Sundays match between Eaton Boomers and Busselton is a prelude to main finals, with Eaton Boomers needing to defeat Busselton to keep their season alive.

The Boomers and Busselton will both know the situation before the match, with Harvey Bulls playing Carey Park on Saturday evening.  If the Bulls win, Eaton Boomers must draw or win to keep their finals chances alive – a loss and their season is over.  If the Bulls were to lose, the Boomers would remain in contention and could put themselves in to the prime spot to play finals should they upset Busselton.

The task regardless of the scenarios will be a tough one, with Busselton coming off a 118 point demolition of the Collie Eagles.  Liam Creighton and Jed Kemp both kicked four goals while Mitch Tenardi again was amongst the best.     The Boomers will need to hope that last weeks hero, Joel Houghton can again produce the goods after he kicked five goals and the match winner.

Busselton have the ability to score heavily, something the Boomers have struggled to do in 2022, with Jordan Falco, Greg Humphries and Mitch Kings amongst those that Busselton will need to watch after they played excellent matches last week in the thrilling win over Carey Park.

With the stakes high and fine weather forecast, a great match is predicted.

Match Times:  Colts 9.45am, Reserves 11.40am, Women’s 1.30pm, League 3.00pm
