The 62nd South West Football League Grand Final will be played and ultimately won this Sunday afternoon, at JE Hands Memorial Oval.

Below is a guide of exactly what will be happening on the big day.

7.00am – Gates Open

Current Weather (at Wednesday) – 90% Chance of Rain, mostly overnight and in the early morning until 8am, then showers. North Westerly Winds 18km/h in the morning turning West, North Westerly 24 km/h in the afternoon.  Top temperature of 18 degrees.

Gate Entry / Exit – Both entry gates will be open from 7am, while the pedestrian gate on the Western side of JE Hands Memorial Oval will be open from 9.00am.  From 11.00am, entry to the ground will be via the Halsey Street entrance, with any cars wishing to leave the venue after the Colts game via the Clarke Street Gate (Scoreboard end), to keep a uniform entry and exit.  From 4.00pm both gates will allow vehicles to exit.

Parking – Parking Attendants will be stationed around the ground from 7am until when ground is full (generally around 10am), to ensure car parking is orderly.  Please obey their directions.

Security will be at all gates.  Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the ground.  

Pets: NOT permitted to be brought into the ground.

Under Section 119(20) of the Liquor Licensing Act it is an offence to:

  1. Bring Liquor into any sports ground or stadium.
  2. Have liquor in possession at any sports ground or stadium.
  3. Consume liquor in any sports ground or stadium

An infringement notice of up to $200 will be issued for any offences detected. The Police will have a policy of No Tolerance.

There are two licensed premises at Hands Oval – if you are to consume liquor these premises are to be utilized.
