Another Draw In Colts Competition

There have now been four draws in the SWFL this season, and the second in a matter of weeks in the Colts competition, after a thrilling last kick of the day draw occurred in the Augusta Margaret River versus Harvey Brunswick Leschenault match at Gloucester Park on Saturday.

The Hawks with the aide of a handy breeze stormed home with scores tied at 53 a piece at full time.

In other matches, South Bunbury and Busselton almost played out a draw as well, in a high quality game at Hands Oval on Sunday.  The Tigers held strong in the final minutes, enabling them to move into third place on the ladder, and only a game and a half off of top placed Bunbury.

Carey Park suffered a scare against Donnybrook, with the Panthers eventually winning by 29 points, Eaton Boomers came from behind in the final quarter to defeat a gallant Harvey Bulls, while Collie Eagles were comprehensively beaten by Bunbury by 104 points.

This weekend, third placed South Bunbury will host eighth placed Carey Park, bottom placed Harvey Bulls will battle second placed Busselton.  On Sunday, top placed Bunbury will take on Eaton Boomers, Collie Eagles will have Augusta Margaret River to contend with, while Donnybrook will have to contend with a resurgent Lions outfit.
