Big Match At Brunswick Sunday

Harvey Brunswick Leschenault and Bunbury will play on Sunday afternoon at Brunswick Oval, in round thirteen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.

There is plenty on the line for both sides, with the Lions playing good football, having kicked fifteen of the first sixteen goals last Sunday against Collie.  The Lions have been Harvey and Eaton in recent weeks, with a narrow three point loss to Carey Park.  Sunday will be thier toughest test in a month when they play the Bulldogs, who themselves are coming off a loss last weekend, at the hands of Busselton.

The Lions are sixth on the ladder, two points behind fifth placed Augusta Margaret River, however, the Hawks have played two more games than the Hawks, and play Busselton on Saturday.  A win by the Lions against Bunbury, would see them move into the five and make it very difficult for the Hawks to regain fifth place.  Meanwhile, Bunbury are third with eight wins from ten games, and have played one less game than South Bunbury and Busselton who are above them on the ladder.  The Tigers have the bye in round thirteen, so a Bunbury victory would see the Bulldogs go level on points with South Bunbury again.  A Bunbury loss could see them drop to fourth if Donnybrook defeat Dunsborough, highlighting the importance of a win for both sides.

Both teams have plenty of players in good form, making Sunday’s clash one not to miss.

The League game commences at 2.40pm, with coverage via PlayHQ with Live Scoring.
