Big Match At Dunsborough Sunday

The Dunsborough Sharks fresh off their maiden victory against the Collie Eagles last Sunday, will play Bunbury this Sunday at the Dunsborough Playing Fields in round six of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, premiership season.

Chris White kicked a career high six goals last week.

Dunsborough will be full of confidence after their historic win over Collie by 76 points, with one of the things that would please coach Daniel Wiseman being the spread of goal kickers that the Sharks produced, with ten players kicking goals, headed by Chris White who kicked six, a career high for the twenty four year old.  Between White and Nic Reid who has kicked eight goals, the duo have been the focal points up forward for the Sharks in their first season.  Shayne Zanetti returns this week for the Sharks, and Chris Masten is scheduled to play his first game, while Captain Max Paterson will play his 100th SWFL match.

The Sharks prior to the Collie match were super competitive against both Busselton and South Bunbury, who are both entrenched in the top five at the moment.  “We need to cut supply to the forwards and remain disciplined”, said coach Daniel Wiseman. “We need to keep building on what we have developed so far”, he added.

Bunbury who are in seventh place on the ladder at the moment, boast Matt Martin, Joel Houghton and Hayden Yarran as players who can kick multiple goals, and showed last week despite being 32 points down at half time, that the Bulldogs are never out of the match.  Bunbury hit the front in the final term against Busselton, in what turned out to be the game of the season to date, and the Sharks will be wary of the Bulldogs ability to score quickly.

With fine weather forecast on Sunday afternoon, both teams will be able to bring their running game to the match, with the Sharks looking to go back to back at home, while Bunbury will be looking to win their third game of the season to stay in touch with the top five.
