Augusta Margaret River and Bunbury will complete the eighth round of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season at Gloucester Park on Sunday afternoon, in what is a big match for both sides.
The Hawks are coming off wins against Harvey Brunswick Leschenault and Harvey Bulls in the last two weeks, both away from home, and return to take on Bunbury who have defeated Donnybrook in round six and enjoyed a weeks rest with the bye in round seven.
The Hawks are in fourth place on the ladder with five wins, but their percentage is just 98.07% after taking a massive hit against Busselton earlier in the season. Bunbury meanwhile, also have five wins but have a percentage of 19931% and sit second on the ladder. Augusta Margaret River are yet to beat a team in the top five, and will be desperate to win on Sunday to stay in touch with the Bulldogs and Tigers, as they have the bye in round nine.
Bunbury meanwhile dominated their match against Donnybrook in round six, and will be looking to do the same against the Hawks on Sunday, with many players in good form, including Trae Field, Mackenna Taylor, Jett Woods and Brenton Hilton.
Bunbury have won the last six contests between the two sides, with the League match scheduled to start at 2.30pm.
