The Alcoa SWFL Women’s team have had a convincing win over the Goldfields Football League in their second pool match in Group One of the Rio Tinto Country Championships in Mandurah.
The SWFL won their first game over the Peel Football League, with the Goldfields coming off a loss where they never scored, however the Goldfields scored the opening goal, which appeared to spark the SWFL into action, kicking seven goals in ten minutes to end the contest with a half to play.
The hot conditions started to take its toll and the team managed a further two goals in the second half to record a 52 point win.
The team showed plenty of cohesion in the contest, with plenty of players getting multiple possessions in the big win. SWFL lead the Pool with one game to play two against Kimberley.
