Bunbury and Busselton will close out round twelve of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season, when the two teams play at PC Payne Park on Sunday afternoon.

In what promises to be a great contest, Busselton go into the match on top of the ladder with nine wins and one loss, while Bunbury sit third on the ladder, with eight wins and one loss. Busselton one loss for the season, came at the hands of Bunbury in a thrilling finish at Sir Stewart Bovell Park earlier in the season, with Bunbury winning by three points. Bunbury’s solitary loss was more recent against South Bunbury who dominated the WA Day Derby.
The contest will be an intruiging one, in how will Bunbury stop the power of Busselton’s forward line which boasts the top two players on the Goal Kicking ladder, and three in the top six. Liam Creighton who leads the goal kicking is having a brilliant season, while Ryan Ekert has contributed 33 goals and Mitch Cameron 21. Between the trio they have kicked 92 goals in ten games, something almost every defence has not been able to handle.
It may come down to Bunbury’s midfield, who will need to stop the supply to Busselton’s forwards, with Captain Denholm King having a great season, as is Trae Field and Haydn Busher.
A Bunbury victory could see the Bulldogs, Tigers and Magpies all on nine wins at the end of the round, while a Busselton victory will see them go two games clear of Bunbury who would remain third on percentage at the end of the round.
The League fixture commences at 2.40pm with coverage also via SEN.
