Blockbuster Match To Start Round Thirteen

Undefeated Busselton will host South Bunbury on Saturday afternoon at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, in the opening game of round thirteen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.

Busselton sit on top of the ladder with ten straight wins, while South Bunbury are third with eight wins, with losses to Bunbury and Busselton.  The Magpies defeated the Tigers in the opening round of the season by twelve points, and have gone on to defeat every team in the competition.    Last Sunday the Magpies defeated Harvey Bulls to complete the sweep of victories, while the Tigers downed the Hawks on Saturday.

Both sides are in great form, with strong centre lines, goal kickers in form and strong back lines, making for a contest that is sure to attract a big crowd.

Despite the dominance of the Magpies, a loss to South Bunbury will see Busselton drop from top spot, a position they have held right through the season, should Bunbury defeat Carey Park.  That would also put them just one game clear of the Tigers and set up a three way battle at the top of the ladder.  A Busselton victory will keep them one game clear of Bunbury should the Bulldogs win, and the Tigers would then only be one game clear of Harvey Brunswick Leschenault, should they defeat Dunsborough, highlighting the importance of the result for both sides.
