Bulldogs Last Quarter Blitz Sinks Lions

It took until the final quarter but Bunbury eventually got the better of Harvey Brunswick Leschenault in their round seventeen clash at Brunswick Oval on Saturday afternoon.

For three quarters the Lions stayed with the Bulldogs, but a six goal final term saw the visitors win by 43 points.

In the opening term the home team started well, kicking four goals to lead Bunbury by five points.  Bunbury kept HBL scoreless in the second quarter, however the Bulldogs only kicked one goal themselves to lead by four points at half time.   Bunbury only kicked one goal in the third quarter as well, holding the home team to three behinds to lead by eight points at the final break.

A few quick goals at the start of the final quarter ended the chance of a Lions victory, and ended the contest as well.

Jesse Gribble was everywhere, gaining plenty of possessions, and kicking four goals, while Jack Fletcher and Brayden Prentice played well for the Lions.
