Bulldogs Need To Find A Way!

Bunbury need to find a way of defeating South Bunbury on Sunday to cement third place on the ladder, when the two sides meet at Hands Memorial Oval, in round nineteen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership season.

The sides will meet for the 198th time, with South Bunbury leading 115-83, with there yet to be a draw.  The match is also the Syd Jackson/Max McGuire Cup, which is being played for the eleventh time, with both sides having won five times each.

In more recent times it has been the Tigers who have dominated the contests, having won the last six, but Bunbury need to stop that trend on Sunday if they have hopes of finishing in the top three.  A loss on Sunday will see the Bulldogs drop to fourth, making the chance of getting back to third in the final round all the more difficult.

The last time the two sides met earlier this year, the Tigers were too strong, winning by 41 points.

The Bulldogs are coming off a ten point loss at home to Carey Park, while South Bunbury cruised to victory over the Bulls.   South Bunbury can end the round on top of the ladder should they take victory (on percentage), setting up a race to top spot in round twenty, when they host HBL and Busselton, who have occupied top spot for the majority of the season play Donnybrook.

The League match commences at 2.10pm.
