Bulldogs Win A Thriller Over Sharks Colts

The Bunbury Bulldogs and Dunsborough Sharks Colts teams have played another thriller in the Apprentice & Traineeship Company Colts, when the teams played at Payne Park on Sunday morning.

The Bulldogs were Dunsboroughs inaugural opponents with the Sharks winning by three points.   Today the tables were turned with the Bulldogs winning a thriller again by three points, before a healthy crowd.

The game ebbed and flowed with both teams having periods of ascendancy, with Dunsborough having a six point lead at the first break.  Bunbury wrestled the lead by by half time by the same margin.  The play was tight, with many physical contests, with the second half a real arm wrestle.

Bunbury led by 14 points at the fourteen minute mark of the final quarter and looked like winners, but Dunsborough fought back kicking two quick goals to set up a thrilling final three minutes, with both teams having opportunities to seal the win.

Millar Newport and Peter Woods were amongst Bunbury’s best with Woods particularly getting plenty of the ball, while Caydhen Black and Che Mahood were again good players for the Sharks.
