Bulls Cause Massive Upset

Only an eternal optimist would have given Harvey Bulls any chance of winning against South Bunbury at Hands Oval on Sunday, but not only did the Bulls win, they dominated the contest, with a comprehensive 66 point win against the former ladder leaders.

The Bulls won every quarter, leading by fourteen points at quarter time, thirty points at half time, thirty two points at three quarter time, before unleashing a seven goal final quarter to win by 66 points.

The Bulls had winners all over the ground, with Tyson Powell kicking a career high eight goals, while Brad Holmes kicked six, giving the Tigers backline multiple headaches.

Jarrod Bowman, Thomas Wood and Braden Fimmano got plenty of the ball across the ground, and the delivery into the forward line was excellent, as was the Bulls accuracy, kicking twelve consecutive goals before missing.

At the other end of the ground, Jordan Strahan continued his excellent form, kicking five of South Bunbury’s eight goals.

Harvey Bulls will take plenty of confidence into their round six match on Saturday at home against Donnybrook, while South Bunbury will head to Glen Huon Reserve to take on Eaton Boomers.
