Bulls Host Hot Hawks

Harvey Bulls will host Augusta Margaret River on Saturday afternoon at Harvey Oval, in the opening game of round seven of the Dale Alcock Homes South West premiership season.

Both teams may relish the opportunity to play in dry conditions, with the forecast of heavy rain scheduled for later in the afternoon, but the week long rain, may have the Harvey Oval heavy under foot, which may help the home side, after the Hawks have kicked 44 goals in their previous two outings.

The Hawks kicked incredibly accurately a fortnight ago against Dunsborough, kicking 21 goals, while last week against Collie they kicked 23 goals, but as many behinds.

The Bulls scoreline was concreted to 1.2.8 for almost three quarters against Donnybrook last Sunday, and the home side will be looking for a much stronger showing on their home turf tomorrow.

The Bulls sit second last, one of four teams to have won just the one match and if Collie were to beat Dunsborough on Sunday and the Bulls were to lose to the Hawks, they could find themselves on the bottom of the ladder at the end of the round.  A win against the Hawks would see them only a game out of the five, such is the closeness in the bottom half of the table.   Meanwhile for the Hawks, a win could potentially have them level with Bunbury and Donnybrook on four wins, subject to other results.
