Bulls Into Women’s Preliminary Final

Harvey Bulls have defeated Donnybrook in the Optus Women’s First Semi Final at Kelly Park on Saturday afternoon, winning a close contest by 11 points.

Scoring was almost exclusively at the Northern End, with the Bulls keeping the Dons scoreless in the first term as Emma Faulkner and Caitlin Shales converted opportunities.

The second term belonged to the Dons with Lacey Holdsworth kicking two goals for the term as the margin was reduced to four points at half time.

The Bulls kicked two quick goals in the third to open up a match winning lead, but a brilliant goal to Beth Bond, which was the only goal for the match at the Southern End, put the Dons within two goals at three quarter time.

Despite doing all of the attacking in the final term, the Dons could only manage a behind, with the Bulls now to play either Bunbury or Busselton in next weekends Preliminary Final.
