Bulls Open Their Account

Harvey Bulls joined four other teams on one win after two rounds of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership season, when they defeated a tenacious Collie Eagles at Harvey Oval on Saturday.

Both teams had sustained periods of dominance, with the Bulls starting strongly in the opening quarter, kicking six goals, with Tyson Powell prominent.  At half time Powell had amassed four goals and the Bulls had a 38 point advantage.

To the Eagles credit they came out after half time and chipped away at the deficit, winning the quarter by seven points, and had the home crowd very nervous when they got within a goal midway through the final term, but when Brad Holmes kicked his third goal late in the match, the Bulls were home in the closest match of the round, winning by 17 points.

Powell ended the match with five goals and along with Holmes kicking three, the Bulls could have a potent attack, while Jack Davidson and Jayce Fontana both kicked three for the Eagles.

The Bulls will have a fortnight off, with a Bye and then Easter, while Collie will face the might of South Bunbury at the Collie Recreation Ground on Sunday.
