Bulls Overcome Slow Start

Harvey Bulls have overcome a slow start to defeat Bunbury at the Collie Recreation Ground on Saturday afternoon, in the Optus Women’s match as part of gather round.

Bunbury got off to a perfect start with Abby Gellard kicking a goal in the opening five minutes, with wet conditions.  The ball spent the majority of the first quarter in the Bulldogs forward line, but they weren’t able to captilise on their dominance.

As the misty rain continued to fall, the Bulls got back into the contest in the second quarter, to get within two points at half time.

As the rain cleared, Harvey got their running game going, dominating the second half, with Rachel Wright, Trinity Brown and Megan Minton getting plenty of possessions.

The win keeps Harvey Bulls cemented in second place on the ladder, with a match against Eaton in round fifteen, while Bunbury will face Collie Eagles, both matches on Saturday.
