Harvey Bulls proved too strong for the Collie Eagles on Sunday afternoon, in the final game of round two of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership Season, winning by 61 points.
The match which was the Lockie Hernaman tribute match, had just the one goal in the first quarter, with both teams inaccurate in front of goal.
The trend of inaccuracy continued throughout the match, as the Bulls moved to a 21 point lead at half time, as the Eagles for the second week in a row, were kept goal-less, however they had as only one less scoring shot than the Bulls at the main break.
The Eagles scored their first goal in the third quarter and pegged the margin back to fifteen points, before the Bulls found another gear and booted clear in the second half, with Jacob Pickett being a focal point up forward kicking four goals.
Collie never stopped trying, but with goal efficiency from shots at goal at 14%, it was always going to be an uphill task, and the margin certainly could have been much closer. Jarrod Bowman would win the Lockie Hernaman medal for best on ground.
After the Easter break, the Bulls will travel to Gloucester Park to take on Augusta Margaret River, with the Hawks victorious over the Tigers on Saturday, while Collie will also be on the road, travelling to Kelly Park to take on Carey Park who have started their season with two wins.
