Bulls Take The Points And The Cup

The Harvey Fresh Cup will remain in the hands of the Harvey Bulls, after they defeated Harvey Brunswick Leschenault on Sunday afternoon at the Harvey Oval in front of a big crowd.

Both teams it would be fair to say were a bit rusty, with the Bulls leading by twelve points at quarter time, before kicking four goals to one in the second quarter, effectively the winning quarter as they took a 31 point lead to the main break.

The Bulls managed just one goal in the second half, while the Lions managed three, as they pegged the margin back to 19 points at the final siren, in a game where both coaches will identify plenty of scope for improvement.

Recruit, Sam Lewis was amongst the best on the ground, while Brad Holmes kicked three majors for the Bulls, while Jarrod Humphries kicked two goals for the visitors, while Jack Fletcher played well.

The Bulls will take on Collie Eagles on Sunday at the Harvey Oval, while HBL will be at home on Saturday against Carey Park, who will be full of confidence after their stirring three point win over Bunbury yesterday.
