Bulls Win In Collie

Harvey Bulls ground out the four points at the Collie Recreation Ground on Sunday, but they by no means had it all their own way against the Collie Eagles in their round thirteen clash of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership Season.

The Collie Eagles have been so close to winning a match this season, and have now lost seven games by 19 points of less, which was the margin at the final siren after a good contest.

The Bulls started the better opening up a sixteen point lead but they dominated the opening quarter with seven scoring shots to one, but inaccurate kicking kept the home team in the contest.

That inaccurate kicking continued in the second quarter with the Bulls kicking one goal six behinds for the quarter to accumulate 4.10.34 at the half time break, while Collie managed three goals to cut the margin to nine points.

The third quarter would make all the difference as the Bulls straightened up their kicking in front of goals, extending the margin to 38 points.  Collie would not be denied in the final term, kicking the last four goals of the game, but the margin was too great.

Rhys Anzellino and Tyson Powell were amongst the best for the Bulls who had an even spread of goal kickers across the match, while for Collie Cameron Davidson and Zac Pilatti again played well.

Collie will travel to Hands Oval to take on South Bunbury on Sunday, while Harvey Bulls have the Club bye.
