Bunbury Advance To Second Semi Final

Bunbury have defeated Harvey Bulls on Friday evening at Kelly Park in the Qualifying Final, and will now face Busselton in a Second Semi Final showdown in the Optus Women’s Finals series.

Before a big crowd at Kelly Park, Bunbury dominated the match with Nakia Jilley starring for the Bulldogs kicking the opening two goals. Late in the quarter Bronwyn Walker soccered a goal out of a pack to give the Bulldogs a 23 point lead at quarter time.

Jilley snapped her third early in the second to extend the margin further, with the Bulls having no answer to the Bulldogs running game and long kicks.

The margin was beyond the Bulls in the third when Daisy Rigby ran into an open goal to kick her first.

The end margin was fifty seven points, with the Bulldogs kicking the Bulls goal-less, something that hasn’t happened all season.

Bunbury will face Busselton next week, while the Bulls will face Donnybrook in a cut throat Elimination Final.
