Bunbury Back On Top Of The Ladder

Bunbury are back on top of the ladder after defeating Dunsborough at the Dunsborough Playing Fields on Sunday afternoon, in round eight of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.

It was a match of two halves, with Bunbury leading by nine points at quarter time in a tight contest, with Bulldogs making the most of their limited opportunities.

The Sharks wasted golden opportunities in the second quarter, converting just one of six scoring shots to trail the Bulldogs by six points at half time.

As close and tight as the first half was, it opened up in the second half with the Bulldogs starting to play the football they have become renowned for, kicking ten goals to one in the second half to win by 63 points.

Mason Hawkes and Haydn Busher continued their good form for the Bulldogs, while Jake Green and Max Paterson were amongst the best for the Sharks.

Bunbury will now face South Bunbury next Sunday in one of the showcase matches of the SWFL season, while Dunsborough will host Augusta Margaret River on Saturday.
