Bunbury Into Women’s Grand Final

Bunbury have defeated Donnybrook in the Optus Women’s Preliminary Final by fourteen points, which will see the Bulldogs move into the Grand Final to play Busselton.

Bunbury started strongly kicking two goals in the opening term with Ebony Bilcich kicking a goal over her head, before Darcy Wallace kicked their second.

The Bulldogs went further in front in the second quarter when Shana-Lee Beardman kicked a good goal, with the Dons scoreless at half time.

To the Dons credit, they fought back in the second half kicking two goals via the Leagues leading goal kicker, Bethany Bond and Lacey Holdsworth, but when Beardman kicked her second, the margin was too great.

The Bulldogs will play Busselton in the Grand Final after playing them in the second semi final, where the Magpies proved too strong.  The match will be played next Sunday at 3.45pm.
