Bunbury have created some records in their 224 point win over Harvey on Sunday afternoon at the Harvey Oval, in the final game of round seventeen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.
The margin was the eighth highest in SWFL history, and Bunbury’s biggest ever win over the Harvey Bulls and also their highest score against Harvey. The Bulls also recorded their lowest ever score against Bunbury in the process. With Busselton having the bye, Bunbury have moved to the top of the ladder.
It was always going to be a tough assignment for the Bulls, with Bunbury playing excellent football, with just one loss for the season.
Bunbury kicked seven goals in the first term, leading by forty seven points at the first break, but the worst would come in the second quarter with Bunbury kicking twelve goals for the term. Dylan Chatley kicked the Bulls only goal in the third term, but Bunbury would be relentless, kicking eleven final quarter goals to set up the massive win.
The Bulldogs have the bye in round eighteen, before hosting Augusta Margaret River in round nineteen. The Bulls will head to Gloucester Park to face the Hawks in round eighteen.
