Bunbury To Host Collie Saturday

Bunbury will host the Collie Eagles on Saturday afternoon at PC Payne Park, in round fifteen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, Premiership season, with Bunbury looking to consolidate their position in the five.

In round fourteen Bunbury took until the last quarter to get over a dogged Harvey Brunswick Leschenault, while Collie are coming off a 72 point drubbing at the hands of Carey Park.

The Bulldogs sit in fifth place on the ladder and irrespective of the result will remain in fifth, being six points behind Carey Park in fourth, and six points clear of Harvey Bulls who sit in sixth on the ladder.  Meanwhile the Collie Eagles, will be looking to improve on their match against the Panthers, where after drawing level in the second quarter, conceded twelve of the next thirteen goals of the match.

Both teams will be fully rested after the Nutrien Ag bye, with only Talan Michael of the Collie Eagles in the South West side.

Bunbury’s midfield have been in fantastic form, with Brad Blake, Jesse Gribble and Dylan Heasman all getting plenty of the ball and Collie will need to stop the supply up forward to Matt Martin and Joel Houghton who have kicked the bulk of Bunbury’s goals this season.

With fine weather Bunbury’s running game might be hard to quell for the young Collie side.
