Bunbury will host Donnybrook on Saturday afternoon, in round three of the Dale Alcock Homes South West premiership season, with both sides looking to take the points at PC Payne Park.
Bunbury who had the bye in the opening round of the season, started their 2025 campaign last Sunday with a win over Harvey Brunswick Leschenault, while the Dons will be desperate to take the four points after losing to Dunsborough last Saturday evening by three points.
The last time these two teams met was in a Preliminary Final, with Bunbury winning a thriller by three points, with the Bulldogs winning two of last years three encounters between both sides.
In very warm conditions last weekend, Bunbury kicked the highest score of the round, albeit thirteen goals, but they found plenty of avenues to goal with seven goal kickers. Joel Houghtons four goals were pivotal in the Bunbury victory last Sunday, and he will need to be watched closely by the Dons defenders, as the four goals came in quick succession. The Dons although beaten last Saturday evening have key players in good form, including Zac Trigwell, Clayton Giblett and Sam Perkusich, all of whom Bunbury will be wary of on Saturday.
The League Game commences at 3.00pm, with the Colts at 9.45am, Reserves at 11.40am and Women’s at 1.30pm.
