Busselton And Bunbury Face Off In Reserves Decider

Bunbury will be looking for some silverware in the Reserves Grand Final, something they haven’t been in for a long time, but they will need to get over Busselton to do so.

Bunbury last played in a Grand Final in 2007, and it was 2005 since they last tasted success in the Reserves

competition, while in that time Busselton have played in just three Grand Finals, losing all of them, so success for both clubs on Sunday afternoon will be savoured.

Head to Head in 2021, sees Busselton ahead by two wins to one, with the 35 point win in the Qualifying Final being the most recent meeting, with Bunbury held to just one goal.  Bunbury subsequently won through with wins over South Bunbury in the First Semi Final and the Preliminary Final over minor premiers Harvey Brunswick Leschenault.

For Bunbury to win they will need to stop two players, William Mackay and Beau Chinnery, who topped the Goal Kicking leaderboard in 2021, kicking 81 goals between the in home and away fixtures.

For Busselton, they will need to curb the midfield dominance of Aaron Mills, along with forward Mackenna Taylor and Michael McMillan.
