Busselton And South Bunbury Lead Colts Competition

After three rounds of the SWFL Colts competition, Busselton and South Bunbury are both undefeated and are both playing good football.

In the game of the round, South Bunbury and Augusta Margaret River played out a great game, with the Tigers starting strongly, only to be pegged back by the Hawks, with the margin twelve points at half time and full time.  South Bunbury remarkably had only two goal kickers, with Riley Flynn kicking seven goals while Bodhi Nordahl kicked five.  Petra Black and Nicholas Barr kicked three goals apiece for the Hawks.

Collie Eagles over came a slow start before accounting for Donnybrook by thirteen goals, while Bunbury kept Carey Park goal-less for a half before winning by 82 points.  Meanwhile, Harvey Bulls looked destined to cause a massive boil over when they took on the Lions, with the Bulls leading by 20 points at the final change. Harvey Brunswick Leschenault stormed home, kicking five unanswered goals to win by 11 points.

This week, top of the table Busselton will take on Collie, with both teams coming off big wins.  Harvey Bulls will host third placed Augusta Margaret River in the other Saturday fixture.  On Sunday, fourth placed Bunbury will host fifth placed Harvey Brunswick Leschenault in the game of the round.   Sixth placed Eaton Boomers will take on eight placed Carey Park, with both teams looking for their second win of the season, with South Bunbury to play Donnybrook in the final game of the round.
