Busselton Beat The Bulls In The Wet

Busselton got their season back to a 50% win loss ratio, when they accounted for Harvey Bulls on Saturday evening at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, as part of round seven of the South West Fooball League.

The home team led at every change, with a ten point margin at quarter time and a 16 point margin at half time.  It would be the third quarter though, that would be the deciding point in the match as the Magpies kicked three goals, while keeping the Bulls scoreless.

To their credit the Bulls didn’t give up, with Brandon Jetta kicking on of the goals of the season, running away from the goal, deep in the pocket, snapping across his left should to split the middle in a brilliant individual effort.  Sadly the margin was too great for him and the Bulls who would end up 44 points adrift of the home team.

The win puts the Magpies back into the five, with a healthy boost to their percentage.  Busselton will play Carey Park next Saturday at Kelly Park, while the Bulls will be at home against Augusta Margaret River next Sunday in a crucial clash.
