Busselton will host the Collie Eagles on Sunday afternoon at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, in round twenty one of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.
For the Eagles it will be their last match of the season, but for Busselton it will be a warm-up for another finals campaign, which either will start next weekend or in two weeks time, depending on the result of South Bunbury and Bunbury.
Busselton who sit second on the ladder will either host Donnybrook in week one of the finals or automatically go into a second semi final, with all eyes on Hands Oval for the result of that match to determine who finishes where.
Firstly though, the Magpies will be looking to defeat Collie to take momentum into the finals, when-ever they play, while for the Eagles it has been a year of improvement, winning six matches and the team will finish eighth on the ladder, their best result since 2021, when they finished sixth.
Although it is widely expected on ladder positions that Busselton will win, Collie won’t make it easy for the team who for most of the season sat on top of the ladder.
