Busselton Kick A Cricket Score Against Eaton

Busselton showed no mercy on Eaton in the Saturday night match at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, winning by a whopping 145 points, one of the biggest winning margins this century in the SWFL, played in front of a big crowd.

The writing was on the wall in the opening quarter with the Boomers held scoreless, before Busselton went into over-drive in the second quarter kicking nine goals as the margin ballooned to 87 points.

Busselton’s percentage went through the roof as the home team kicked seven more goals in the third quarter.   In the final term the Magpies kicked two goals seven behinds, otherwise the margin could have been even worse.

The Boomers never stopped trying despite the margin, with Liam Creighton playing an outstanding game, kicking seven goals for the victors, with Mitch Tenardi and Jon Meadmore also played well.

The Easter bye couldn’t come quick enough for Eaton, who have suffered two large defeats to start the season, with the task not getting any easier after the break with matches against South Bunbury (H), Harvey Bulls (H) and Augusta Margaret River (A).  Busselton will face Dunsborough at home in round three, before games against Donnybrook and Bunbury (both away) to finish off the month of April.
