Busselton are the only undefeated team after four rounds of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season, and they will be looking to maintain top spot on the ladder when they play Eaton on Sunday at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.
Busselton have dominated the early part of the season, with wins over Bunbury, South Bunbury and Augusta Margaret River, with last Saturday’s win over the Hawks the most dominant of the three, keeping their rivals to just one goal.
Eaton meanwhile, are yet to win a game, but have been in winning positions against Augusta Margaret River and Dunsborough, and only lost to the Lions by 31 points.
Busselton had plenty of good players last weekend against the Hawks, with Liam Creighton leading the forward line with four goals, while Tony Notte gained plenty of possessions, as did Mitch Tenardi and Ben Ganzer. Despite the loss to Dunsborough, numerous players for the Boomers also played extremely well, with Josh Kelly, Marlion Pickett, Karl Collard and James Ewing all having good games.
Sir Stewart Bovell Park hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Boomers, having won only fifteen times from 48 attempts, with Busselton winning nine of the last ten matches between the two sides.
