Busselton Move To Fourth

Busselton’s win on Saturday afternoon, in the Dale Alcock Homes South West, League competition, has seen last years runners-up move to fourth place on the ladder with a twenty four point win at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.

After an even first quarter it would be the middle part of the match with would make all the difference.

The Boomers, who were very inaccurate in front of goals against South Bunbury a week prior, seemed to have sorted that issue out, when they kicked the first of their four goals truly.  From that point on, they kicked one goal ten behinds in a forty minute period, which allowed the Magpies to open up a nineteen point lead at the final change, a lead which they didn’t squander.

Dylan Patterson was very handy in attack kicking four goals, while Brodie Howell and Bailey Sanford both kicked three, with Josh Fleming playing a very good game.  Tanner Allan kicked four goals for the Boomers, but their forwards missed too many set shots to get within striking distance of the home team.

Both teams will be engaged in crucial matches in round eleven, with Busselton travelling to Harvey to play the Bulls (Saturday twilight), while Eaton will be at home to Harvey Brunswick Leschenault (Sunday).
