Busselton Remain Undefeated

Busselton remain undefeated after a comprehensive 68 point win over Eaton at the Glen Huon Reserve on Sunday afternoon, in very cold conditions in round thirteen of the SWFL.

The first quarter yielded just one goal, with the Magpies dominating possession without being able to capitalise on the scoreboard.

Busselton owned the second quarter, kicking five goals for the term, with Liam Creighton and Mitch Howlett giving the Eaton defence plenty of headaches.  The home team would go into half time goal-less, and were staring down the barrel of a big defeat.

The Magpies kicked six goals in the third term to lead by 76 points at the final break.  Chris Kinninmont implored his charges for a big final quarter, and to Eaton’s credit they responded, outscoring Busselton in the final term, as the Boomers kicked four goals but the damage was well and truly done.

Mitch Tenardi and Ethan Bowman played well, and Liam Creighton and Mitch Howlett both kicking four goals a piece.   Tanner Allen, Josh Bowe and Paul Rinder never stopped trying for the Boomers, who were outclassed by Busselton who continue their charge through the season undefeated.

Busselton will travel to Dunsborough in round fourteen, while Eaton will have to contend with third placed South Bunbury at Hands Oval.
