Tomas Cassidy has won the Dale Alcock Homes South West medal, as the Fairest and Best player in the Get Careers Colts Competition, announced on Friday evening at the Mantra Lighthouse Beach Resort as part of the Hayward / Nola Marino Medal.
Cassidy had an outstanding season, finishing six votes clear of Riley Preece of HBL, while Tyson Buswell of Eaton, despite having a great season himself, finished a distant third.
Cassidy revealed he is in a race against time to be ready for Sunday’s Preliminary Final after sustaining an injury in round twenty one against Dunsborough.
The Hawks have dominated the award in recent times, with Harvey Fisher winning in 2022 and Kaspa Donovan in 2023.
