Creighton Kicks Six, Busselton Remain On Top

Busselton remain on top of the ladder after defeating Dunsborough on Sunday afternoon, in round eleven of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season, with Liam Creighton kicking six goals in a best on ground performance.

Creighton has kicked twenty two goals in his last four matches, and is well on the way to passing his career high 56 goals in 2023, as the Busselton forward now sits five goals clear in the goal kicking race with 38 goals for the season.

The Magpies started the match well, kicking three goals and keeping Dunsborough to two behinds.  It would be the second quarter which would be where Busselton would win the contest, kicking six goals to two, with Creighton taking some strong marks along with two goals for the term.

Dunsborough were able to stay with Busselton for the most part in the second half, with Jake South having a good individual game, finishing the match with four of the Sharks seven goals.

The fifty four point margin keeps the Busselton on top of the standings, with plenty of the side in excellent form, including Ky Meers and Ethan Bowman, along with Jon Meadmore.    Busselton will head to Payne Park next Sunday, where they will play Bunbury who beat Busselton in round four by three points.   They Sharks meanwhile will play South Bunbury at Hands Oval on Saturday,
