Crucial Clash For Bulls In Busselton

The Harvey Bulls will have destiny in their own hands on Saturday evening in a dramatic end to the home and away season, when they play Busselton at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.

Earlier in the afternoon, Eaton Boomers will play Harvey Brunswick Leschenault at Brunswick and should the Boomers win, the Bulls have only one option – win – or be eliminated from the finals race.

The Bulls have been playing some excellent football and have three significant options up forward, with Brad Holmes being the leading goal kicker in the SWFL for the second season in a row, Tyson Powell who kicked five goals last weekend against Carey Park and Michael Bennell who between the three of them have kicked 50 goals in the last five weeks.

Not to be outdone, Liam Creighton and Jed Kemp are becoming a formidable combination for Busselton having kicked 14 goals between them in the last two rounds.

Both teams have attacking midfields, and sound defensive lines, making this a great match up.  The last time they met Busselton proved too strong, and the Magpies are coming off a shock loss to Eaton last weekend, which has now set up this extraordinary finish to the season.  The Bulls have much to play for, while Busselton will be looking to take winning form into the Elimination Final in the first week of the finals, which is the only thing known for sure at this stage.

Game Times:  Colts 11.20am, Reserves 1.15pm, Women’s 3.10pm, League 4.40pm.
