Dons Eyeing Off Third Spot!

Donnybrook could find themselves in third spot on the premiership ladder at the end of round eighteen of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League season.

The Dons, who have won four of their last five games, with a 28 point loss to Bunbury being the only blemish, find themselves potentially moving to third on the ladder, if Busselton defeat Harvey Brunswick Leschenault on Saturday.   A Dons victory against Eaton at Glen Huon Reserve on Sunday will make that a reality, however they have two tough matches to finish the home and away season, so staying there won’t be easy.

Earlier in the season, Donnybrook thrashed Eaton at VC Mitchell Park, winning by 210 points, kicking thirty four goals, something Eaton won’t want to happen again.  That win has given the Don’s a percentage which they have been able to carry through the season, which will enable them to move to third should Busselton win.

Last Sunday, the Dons stunned South Bunbury with a 76 point win, with Donnybrook having winners all over the ground.

Eaton meanwhile are coming off huge loss at the hands of the Lions, and they will be looking for a better performance at home infront of their loyal fans.

The League game commences at 2.30pm.
