Dons Looking To Bounce Back

Donnybrook will be looking bounce back on Saturday at VC Mitchell Park, when they take on Collie Eagles in Round Ten of the Dale Alcock Homes South West Premiership Season.

The Dons are coming off a loss to South Bunbury last Saturday, and will be desperate to take the four points to stay on terms with South Bunbury, with both teams equal on points on the premiership ladder.

Despite being at the bottom of the ladder, matches between the Eagles and the Dons are always tough and close, and Saturday’s fixture is not likely to be any different.

The Eagles defence will have their hands full with Jeff Smith who continues to kick goals for the Dons, having kicked thirty goals for the season, and twelve in the last three matches.   One player who has been amongst the best every week is Ben Howlett who has been outstanding in the centre, and will need to be checked carefully by the Eagles.

The Dons will also have plenty of incentive to win, apart from the four points, with Jacob Kendle and Bradman May both playing their 100th games, and both have been good players for the Dons over a long period of time.

Collie will start the match as under-dogs, but should they cause an upset, which the SWFL has seen plenty of in recent weeks, they will get off the bottom of the ladder, handing that mantle to Dunsborough.

Colts 9.25am, Reserves 11.20am, Women’s 1.10pm, League 2.40pm
