Donnybrook will play their final home and away fixture against Augusta Margaret River on Sunday, in round twenty two of the SWFL.
The Dons who are currently fourth on the ladder, have an opportunity to finish third, and will know the scenario going into the fixture, as South Bunbury play on Saturday.
Effectively Donnybrook will need to defeat Augusta Margaret River by more than what South Bunbury defeat Harvey Brunswick Leschenault by (should that actually occur) to claim third place, and a berth in the Qualifying Final against Carey Park. A loss will see the Dons host an Elimination Final against Bunbury.
Donnybrook will be looking to regain some form after almost falling to the Collie Eagles last Sunday, which was partly due to their very inaccurate kicking, almost costing them the match. Ben Howlett and Clayton Giblett along with Harley Corbett played well for the Dons despite their kicking woes and will be looking to lead the Dons to victory against the Hawks.
Augusta Margaret River are coming off a hard fought win against Dunsborough, while in the two weeks preceding that had kicked 44 goals, the most of any team in the competition over that period, showing the Hawks have the firepower to defeat the Dons, in a match Donnybrook must win, making this contest an intriguing one, and where percentage will play an important role in the overall finishing positions on the ladder.
