Dons Storm Into Reserves First Semi

Donnybrook have stormed into the Solahart Reserves First Semi Final, after a comprehensive win over South Bunbury in the Elimination Final at Kelly Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Dons who have not been in a finals series since 1991, started in the best possible fashion, with Kyle Wilson kicking the opening goal in the second minute of the match.  Brandon Jetta started to impose himself up forward kicking two goals for the term, as the Dons took a 22 point lead into quarter time.

Jetta would kick the first goal of the second term as the Tigers tried to get back into the contest, eventually kicking their first goal of the match, fourteen minutes into the second term, courtesy of Griffin Russell.

The second half would be all Donnybrook, keeping the Tigers goal-less in the second half.

Cody Miller took a one handed mark in the third term to turn back the clock, while in the final term Jake Boyle kicked a freak goal from in the pocket in the final term as the Dons won comfortably to move into the second week of finals, where they will face Bunbury in the First Semi Final.   The Dons had good players all across the ground and will take plenty of confidence into next weekends showdown.

South Bunbury bow out of the competition, finishing fifth on the season.
