Dons Too Strong For Eagles

Donnybrook defeated the Collie Eagles by 85 points at the Collie Recreation Ground on Sunday afternoon, in round five of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership season.

The Dons trailed early as Collie kicked the first goal, but the Dons would then kick thirteen of the next fourteen goals of the match, to open up a substantial 71 point advantage at half time.

The Eagles played their best football in the third term, matching it with the Dons, kicking three goals for the term, but the visitors dominated possession, and had too much firepower up forward, with Cooper Clarke-Dehring, Brandon Jetta and Matt Martin all kicking four goals in the comprehensive victory.   Clarke-Dehring would be awarded the Belt Up Ball as best player on the field.  He won the ball last season also in the same fixture.

Donnybrook have now moved to third on the ladder, and have Harvey Bulls as their next opponents next Sunday at Boyanup Oval.   Collie will venture to Gloucester Park to take on Augusta Margaret River, also on Sunday.
