Eagles Looking For Second Win

Collie Eagles will be looking for their second win of the season, when they host old rivals, Donnybrook, at the Collie Recreation Ground in round nine of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League on Sunday.

The Eagles are coming off a tough loss to South Bunbury, where they conceeded the first thirteen goals, but then outscored the Tigers thereafter, while the Dons are coming off the bye, and a loss the week previous to Augusta Margaret River.

The two inland clubs have had some tough battles over the years, and this one promises to be the same, with the Eagles putting together some good football, most notably against Bunbury who only got the upper hand in the final term.

The Dons sit fifth on the ladder with four wins, two recently against South Bunbury and Carey Park, before a shock loss to the Hawks in round seven.  The Dons need to win to stay in touch with the teams around them, including the Hawks and Tigers, while Collie will be looking to cause an upset, with a possibility of dropping to the bottom of the ladder depending on the result of the match between Eaton and Harvey Bulls.

The League fixture starts at 2.10pm, with coverage on Collie Community Radio and score updates on SWFL Facebook.
