Eaton have won their first game of the season, when they defeated Dunsborough in a hard fought match at Glen Huon Reserve on Sunday afternoon, in round three of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, South West Football League premiership season.
The Boomers had lost every match against Dunsborough until today, winning by seventeen points.
Eaton started the better of the two teams opening a three goal lead in the first term, only for the Sharks to kick the last three goals of the term to narrow the margin to five points.
The second term was where the match would ultimately be won, with the Boomers leading by twenty points at half time. Greg Humphries and Josh Kelly dominated the foward line, with both ending the match with five goals.
Eaton extended the margin in the third term to 23 points before the Sharks rallied in the last, however they weren’t able to claw the margin back sufficiently.
Humphries for the second week in a row was outstanding for Eaton, who sung the club song loud and proud for the first time in their new colours.
