Final Hit Out For Magpies

Busselton will have their final home and away match before a second semi final appearance, when they host Collie Eagles on Saturday evening at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.

Busselton have known for a month that they will finish on top of the ladder, after an outstanding season which has seen the Magpies lose just once.

The Magpies were way too strong for Harvey Brunswick Leschenault last Saturday, and after a relatively slow start, the black and whites piled on seven goals in the second and fourth terms to record a 82 point win.

Their opponents probably played their best game of the season last Sunday, despite losing the contest.  Collie led Donnybrook for nearly the entire contest in what would have been the upset of the season, but a late goal gave the Dons victory.

One player Collie will need to keep a close eye on is Liam Creighton, who was outstanding against the Lions kicking nine goals, surpassing the seven he kicked in round two, taking his tally to 53 for the season.

The match starts at 4.30pm.
