Final Home Game For Bulls

Harvey Bulls will play their final home game of the season, when they play Carey Park at Harvey Oval on Saturday evening, in round twenty one of the South West Football League.

The Bulls are coming off a loss to Dunsborough last weekend in a match they should have won, kicking 7.23 (65), losing by two points.  The loss meant the Bulls couldn’t move ahead of Augusta Margaret River on the ladder, and subsequently remain seventh, only percentage ahead of Harvey Brunswick Leschenault.

Despite the loss, the Bulls created thirty scoring opportunities, which is one positive from the match and this could cause the Panthers defence some headaches.

Carey Park are the only team to defeat Busselton this season, and it is the continual run of the young Panthers side which doesn’t stop until the final siren, which has been the key difference.  The Panthers have almost outscore every opposition in the second half since round ten, and the Bulls will be aware of this come Saturday evening.

The midfield battle will be well worth watching as Lloyd Beever and Sam Lewis have been in good form for the Bulls along with Andrew Haydon, while Harley Sparks has had an outstanding season for the Panthers.

Should Carey Park win, they will host a Qualifying Final, as will be fresh for the contest as they have the bye in round twenty two.

The match commences at 4.40pm.
