First Quarter Blitz Sets Up Lions Win

Round seven of the Dale Alcock Homes South West, SWFL Premiership season saw Harvey Brunswick Leschenault record their first victory of the season, when they defeated Harvey Bulls in the Bottlemart Cup at Brunswick Oval by 32 points.

The victory was set up in the first quarter with the home team kicking seven goals, while keeping the Bulls scoreless.

The Lions ran riot through the middle of the ground with multiple forward entries, with Jarrod Humphries using the breeze to his advantage, kicking one goal from 60 metres out.

The Bulls slowly decreased the deficit in the remaining three quarters but the damage was well and truly done.  Jack Fletcher and Sebastion Dixon had multiple possessions, with Humphries and Zac Piper kicking three goals each.  The Bulls had no answers in the first quarter rarely getting the ball inside 50m, and effectively played catch up there after.
