Fixture Changes Round Seven

The South West Football Leauge wishes to advise that the round seven match between the Collie Eagles and Dunsborough, scheduled to be played at the Collie Recreation Ground on Sunday, 10 May 2026 will now be played in Dunsborough.

After a ground inspection by South West Football League General Manager, Jason Crowe, and Collie Executive members the playing surface was deemed unfit for play after 4000 sq metres of turf had been laid over the course of the last month.

The main error of concern was the uneven nature of the surface, which is being addressed by the Shire of Collie, along with an area at half forward at the scoreboard end which is devoid of grass.  The surface has been fertilised and top dressed, with the hope over the course of the next two weeks, the grass will further grow and present a surface that can be safely played on.

A further inspection will take place in two weeks time.

The SWFL would like to thank Dunsborough for their support in moving the fixture, which will see Collie continue to play away games now until round nine, when they are scheduled to play Eaton at home at the historic venue.
